Wildlife Photos

 Turtle.  Odd one, though.  The head and tail say snapper, but the shell is flatter -- snapping turtles have quite distinct peaks on the back.

You're thinking of the alligator snapping turtle. It's the one with the distinct peaks on its shell.
The common snapping turtle has a relatively smooth back.
