That is painfully obvious to anyone with more than one firing synapse, except that the well has been very successfully poisoned around the concept of "fairness".

Once you even mention it, the same people who think that supporting tax breaks for the rich while they themselves are poor, but just might someday find their way into those top tax brackets... they go rabid.
