Here begins the generally sponsored poetry poll for the May 1, 2012 Poetry Fishbowl. You have $63 to spend. There will be a followup poll if necessary, depending how this one goes. I will keep this poll open at least until Saturday evening. If there's a clear winner then, I'll close it; otherwise I may leave it open longer. Your options at this point are listed below...
There is one open epic, "Storm Wrack," which needs $22 to complete. Finishing this poem would unlock the two new Path of the Paladins poems from the May 1 session, "Uneasy Things" ($100) and "Swimming Against the Tide" ($39). It would also make the series eligible to open any other of its available epics, since there are a bunch of choices there. $63 - $22 = $41 left over for more poetry.
You could fix the giant goof I made in selling "The Fading Tower" and "Balancing In Action" (Sort Of Heroes) before the poem that explicitly introduces Taro and Hicket, "A Catalog of Flaws," which is $48.50. That would fill the gap and finish out all the extant poetry in this series so far. $63 - $48.50 = $14.50 left over for more poetry.
The last epic from the May 1 fishbowl that is currently available is "Within the Wolf's Jaws" at $113. This is a whole new series, The Asgard Eddas, which is Norse-flavored science fiction. You could put the whole amount here and get this poem past the halfway point. (If you want this poem, but don't want to put that much into it now, it will be on the followup poll if there is one.) $113 - $63 = $50 remaining to complete the epic.
How would you like to allocate the $63 in the general fund?
