Meme: Zombie Apocalypse Team

Hmm.

A book about the Seneca Falls Convention on women's rights in 1848.

The latter won't be much help, as it doesn't have a protagonist. If I may substitute the previous book: _Making Things Move: DIY Mechanisms for Inventors, Hobbyists and Artists_ though, I think I'm in pretty good shape.

The women of Seneca Falls are not combat oriented, obviously, but they have plenty of courage and common sense. _The Difference Engine_ does feature a few combat oriented types: the question becomes whether they can work with the women. But many of the women are accounted marvelously persuasive speakers, so I'm going to say it will happen. And taking the author as the protagonist for _Making Things Move_ (which is partially in first person) we now have an engineer acquainted with modern technology on our side. Who also happens to be a woman, which will only be an issue if _The Difference Engine_'s protagonists won't work with her but see above about the women of Seneca Falls.

I'd say we're set and I'm proud to be part of this Zombie Fighting Team.

In the last twelve hours, I:

* Played a game about killing zombies, with plenty of player and weapon upgrades (and infinite bullets)
* Read a poem about a smith who crafts weapons of all alignments
* Watched a Minecraft Let's Play using mods, including devices to fight tainted and evil monsters (as well as ways to destroy sources of taint and corruption), a mining laser and one-hit-kill nano sword, and several kinds of superhero armor from ultra-high-tech to extreme fantasy magical devastation.

And I'm pretty handy with any kind of weapon that isn't a simple knife, as well as being a pretty good healer of the soul.

Those zombies are gone, man. Give us a few weeks, and we will be able to wipe out that apocalypse, close the portals, cleanse the world, and save every living creature and spirit that remains.

Hrrrm. I'd have on my side:

An elemental Firemaster and business magnate, and his apprentice, a woman trapped in a corset and thick skirts, a medieval scholar and not a comabatant.

Two street kids, one of whom is dependent on a respirator, and a golem cyborg, who's the only one really combat-oriented.

The Teen Titans superhero team.

It'll be tricky, but I think we'll be fairly safe.

1. "Draco Malfoy and the Last Year" by carlalute - Draco Malfoy on my anti-zombie team? o_O
2. "Connections" - James Burke would be useful in a zombie apocalypse.
3. "NCIS:LA" Again, useful.

Oh, and if you want to go to the logical extreme to include things I've written and recently been working on, I'd have Lyria Spellspinner on my side. A powerful dark sorceress/mad scientist? Yes, that would be very useful. :-D
