I'm thinking this is considerably more formidable than a white sperm whale.

I dunno about that. *g* Sperm whales are also toothed whales and predators, but they're 70 feet long rather than 20 feet long. Orcas are cooperative hunters, sperm whales aren't, but it's sort of like the difference between a wolf pack and a giant grizzly bear ... you're in trouble either way!
Sperm whales can be violent if provoked. Orcas can be violent for the sheer fun of it. They are ... very like humans in some creepy ways. And they've been known to eat people on occasion. A psychotic orca, yikes.
