Plans and Goals
Sometimes it helps to talk out the things you want to do and the projects you want to work on, and get cheers for stuff you've finished.

*  What are some of your upcoming plans and goals?
*  Are any of them things you'll need help with, and if so, what kind of help?
*  What are some plans/goals that you have recently completed?

I am launching the Alice Assassin campaign in less than a month, which will specifically aim to get the series hung in a gallery to coincide with the release of the companion novel.

I'll need all the help I can get.

The most recent campaign that I finished/collaborated on was a huge success and was The Incidental Tarot with Holly DeFount over at IndieGoGo.

Mostly I'm trying not to fall on my face, as my small press is also gearing up to release twelve titles in twelve months.

I have basically given up sleeping.

Wow!

That is a huge project list. Keep me posted on your gallery campaign; I can boost the signal for it.

Re: Wow!

Keep telling me that, because my Overachiever Brain keeps telling me that I'm slacking. I know. I am crazy. LOL

I will absolutely keep you posted and will also post to the crowdfunding forum when it goes live.

And THANK YOU.

*laugh* You know, mine does the same damn thing.

Yay! *hugs*

Hmm, it occurs to me that you ought to talk with Ailelie about Plunge magazine. Some of your photos have been girl/girl pairings and that might suit the magazine.

I wrote a song about Seannan McGuire's latest book _Discount Armageddon_ which I got hold of yesterday. This is sort of my little part to promote the book.

I also finished patching together the voice track for one of my songs for my album-in-progress.

Yay!

That's a pretty cool series she has going.

Re: Yay!

:-) I think so too.

And I enjoyed reading about the Aeslin mice, though I think they would be less fun if I had to live with them.

Well...

I decided some time ago that I wanted to start setting the basis for a job that could, in time, take the place of my current one, so, while I work on my 'normal' day job and help my husband with °his° secondary one I'm also:

Translating from English works 40.000 words and under by indy writers (some for free and some paid, I was aiming to build a curriculum, the paid offers came as a surprise).

Checking local flavor, facts and use of Italian expression in the series of historical novels set in Verona written by David Blixt (Shakesperean actor, wonderful writer and delightful guy).

Planning and translating for my collection of illustrated Chinese poetry for children you know about (trying not to get distracted thinking of other possible books in the same vein, although translating the original 'Ballad of Mulan' is very appealing).

Need help? definitely yes. As soon as the last technical points are set I'll start a crowdfunding campaign for the Chinese poetry project, signal-boosting will be extremely appreciated.

That's a good idea.

Cool! Hmm, if you can think of any of my work that would be useful in that capacity, let me know. Aside from all the poetry you've seen, I actually have some educational nonfiction too.

If you're looking for more work of that type, you should post yourself as a cultural fact-checker on crowdfunding. There may be other folks writing Italian or Chinese stuff. Also feel free to ask me if you need a reference for your work in this area.

And of course I'll gladly boost signals for you.

I am starting my own business!

I really need to get a website up. Getting Drupal installed and figuring out where to put the site is killing me right now. Then I need to market it, advertise, get some clients.

I am excited I have saved my Baby Emergency Fund and have a big chunk of cash in the bank (more than one month's take home pay).

I am excited I have gotten one paying client and some other nibbles so far. I have GOT to get that website up!!!

Go for it!

That sounds exciting. I wish you luck with the website and business.

I hope the prose works out for you. I do like your illustrations.

What are some of your upcoming plans and goals?

I'm working on buying an RV or bus conversion and getting on the road full-time within the next year or so. Which will involve building my business (Om Shanti Naturals) up until I'm making enough to support myself with it. Plus buying an RV.

Are any of them things you'll need help with, and if so, what kind of help?

Other than getting ridiculously lucky and finding someone willing to give me an RV (there's always hope?), I guess what I could use is people to boost the signal?

What are some plans/goals that you have recently completed?

March is my Month of Catching Up, and I've already gotten a couple of long-overdue projects out of the way -- I've cleared my inbox and desktop, Made All The Soap, and finished up a lovely sweater/coat/top(?) made from old wool and cashmere sweaters.

Good luck!

I hope this works out for you. Soapmaking is really cool.

Re: Good luck!

Thank you -- I have a lot of fun doing it, and since I spend a lot of time traveling to festivals and SCA events anyway, staying on the road just makes sense.
