Strange Animal Adaptations

... to human influences.

That one about birds shouting louder?  Howler monkeys evolved very loud voices to communicate through dense, often noisy jungles.  They can reach 140 decibels.  A human shout is around 70.  Let's hope the birds don't get that good.

The birds aren't just screaming curses... the local starlings are imitating common ring tones, which of course, shifts annually.

Think about that a minute...
A mockingbird that grows up near a construction site will scream like a circular saw. I don't envy the constantly-raw throat that bird has, though.
