New verses in "With Mortal Flesh and Iron Will"
There are two new verses in "With Mortal Flesh and Iron Will" thanks to continuing discussion of the post "Let's Talk About Ebooks of My Poetry."  This poem now has 8 of 12 verses posted; join the discussion to reveal more verses.  It belongs to the series The Clockwork War and features quadriplegic soldiers who want to keep fighting.

There is also a great discussion under the Monster House poem "Zee" regarding people with disabilities and the portrayal of disabled characters in speculative fiction.  That one is fully visible now.

These entries always remind me
of a board game I used to play.

But I always called it
"Splintered Ships and Concripted Men"

Yay!

I love your renaming.

I'm suddenly reminded of a game I used to play. You laid out cards to form an island, and one of them was a volcano card that would destroy the island. The goal was to get all your people off the island in lifeboats before the volcano erupted.

Re: Yay!

I forget the name of it, but I played that game, too...
Each card had something on it, good or bad.
It was a highly intellectual variation on kerplunk.
