So wait: if I piece all the details together, she got married at 16 to a man in his fifties, got pregnant about a year later, dealt with his dying of lung cancer probably during the entire pregnancy and with his death when the baby was two months old, and has the cool to do everything right in a deadly situation - barricaded the front door, got 911 on the phone, got the gun out and loaded, and didn't shoot until after the man actually came in the house.

Wow. And people say Heinlein's women aren't realistic. That's the woman you want at your back after the world falls apart.

I was going to mention earlier that she reminded me of Sarah Connor, but I forgot. I could totally see her crushing a killer robot.
