Since getting an e-reader last year I read mostly ebooks, at the same time I've turned into a paper-book collector, in not a few cases (my favorite authors) I have an electronic copy for actual reading and a paper copy as something I like to appreciate the beauty of.

>the poem files are already collected, but I'd have to look at the different release services to figure out which might work best and what they want a manuscript to be.<

I'd recommend Amazon (that's what I'm looking into for myself). The Kindle is very popular (for very good reasons),you can change your price at any time and if you publish from Amazon.com and set 'worldwide' your books will be avaiable also on the other national sites that have a kindle store (UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain).

Thank you!

Come to think of it, I've heard other people mention a similar tendency.

That's really useful to know. I have quite a few international fans in my audience.

Since I tend to try to limit how much material stuff I have, I favour the e-copies for most things, simply because any space it takes up is electronic. E-books are also a LOT more accessible for me as I can carry many mighty tomes in my phone, which can be read at any time (as opposed to having to anticipate the opportunity to get in some reading and lug around a book with me).

However, at the same time, I do cherish material mementos of the experiences we share here, so perhaps there could be a (much) smaller paper chapbook produced as the end of year thank you for K-fans and an e-book of the yearly collections of the whole available for purchase.

Thank you!

I've posted your verse in "With Mortal Flesh and Iron Will."

Okay, thanks for mentioning this.

If I'm doing electronic copies, I can certainly let k-fans choose which they want -- if someone qualifies for the hardcopy but only wants an ebook, or qualifies for a full-year collection but wants a smaller series collection instead, that's fine.

Re: Thank you!

Just trying to find ways to make things easier for you; that was a mighty hefty tome you shipped out. :)

(And, to clarify, I really do appreciate those collections in paper format and would get 'em in both. It's stuff like the novels I purchase that I really don't need hard copies of.)

Yeah, the 2011 full-year collection was huge: 333 pages in the file, half that of paper printed duplex. That's part of why I expanded the perk structure for 2012.

I'm glad that you enjoy those. I like having a piece of favorite projects that I support, so I figured other folks would too.
