Bird Photos

 See the heron.

Today a hawk perched in the tree just outside our kitchen window, near the hopper feeder.  I think it was a fledgling, as there were still a few fluffy white spots, and its voice had that kind of whispery squeak.  It was probably thinking "bird feeder = place full of birds where I can eat."  Alas, it flew away before I got back with the camera.

That's cool, a hawk. I miss their constant presence. There are hawks here but I don't see as many partly because we're closer to the main city. I hope yours hangs out for awhile.
I hope so too. There are always hawks around here, though we only see them in the yard occasionally. It makes me happy that they like the habitat in the yard.
