I also like erudite dragons. In this case, I'm particularly playing up the fact that Eastern dragons are genteel and sophisticated, not ravening beasts.

*grin* She is a bookworm, all right. It's also an early hint that Maryam is interested in alchemy as a broad field, and will poke her nose into just about any part of it, even outside of her personal specialties. She's also good at combining different branches.
