Birdfeeding

Today is partly sunny and mild.

I fed the birds.  Not much activity today, but I saw a brown thrasher near the fly-through feeder yesterday.

EDIT 9/14/21 -- I gathered blackberry lily seeds from the barrel garden and planted them in the savanna.

Much thunder and a little spitting rain; we could use the rain.

EDIT 9/14/21 -- I gathered blackberry lily seeds from the barrel garden and planted them nearby.  The ground is barely damp from drizzle.

EDIT 9/14/21 -- I did more trimming around the purple-and-white garden.

I saw a green tree frog hopping around the purple-and-white garden.  :D  That makes the count 4 green and 3 gray, 5 of them this year.

Restoring Mammoths

This article looks at the possibility of restoring mammoths

I find the snow-clearing argument very interesting.  That's testable, and we don't actually need a mammoth to do it.  We could use mechanical means to create the effects that mammoths did, and observe the results.

My reasons for support are spiritual and restorative.  Humans contributed to their loss, so it would be good to restore them, to the best of our ability.
