Today is warmer, though not warm, with a light breeze.  It was sunny earlier but has clouded over now.

I fed the birds.  There were sparrows out, and I saw a downy woodpecker. 

Physical fitness is a key skill for heroes, applicable to most heroic situations. The more fit you are, the better prepared you are to handle physical challenges. Even if you are not an athlete, do what you can to prepare yourself for likely situations. Think about the kind of actions that heroes most often perform. Decide which of those you are willing and able to do. Then develop a plan that will prepare you for those challenges.

The other day we made Pea Soup, which called for 1 leek. Those are rarely sold individually, so we had 2 leeks left to use up. I remembered the phrase "cock-a-leekie" and looked for recipes. Since I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, I made this, and it's really good. :D
