Cuddle Party

Everyone needs contact comfort sometimes. Not everyone has ample opportunities for this in facetime. So here is a chance for a cuddle party in cyberspace. Virtual cuddling can help people feel better.

We have a cuddle room that comes with fort cushions, fort frames, sheets for draping, and a weighted blanket. A nest full of colorful egg pillows sits in one corner. There is a basket of grooming brushes, hairbrushes, and styling combs. A bin holds textured pillows. There is a big basket of craft supplies along with art markers, coloring pages, and blank paper. The kitchen has a popcorn machine. Labels are available to mark dietary needs, recipe ingredients, and level of spiciness. Here is the bathroom, open to everyone. There is a lawn tent and an outdoor hot tub. Bathers should post a sign for nude or clothed activity. Come snuggle up!

Poem: "Fix One Thing at a Time"

This poem is spillover from the April 21, 2020 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by a prompt from Anonymous. It also fills the "Thorns" square in my 4-1-20 card for the Spring Fest Bingo. This poem has been sponsored by Anthony & Shirley Barrette. It belongs to the Officer Pink thread of the Polychrome Heroics series.

Warning: This poem is mostly a theoretical discussion of messy medical details, along with fallout from past trauma for various characters. It's mostly positive, though, and nothing is going wrong at the present time.

Poem: "Loss Is Like a Wind"

This poem was written outside the regular prompt calls, inspired by a discussion with [personal profile] dialecticdreamer and [personal profile] gingicat. It also fills the "unhappy family" square in my 8-7-18 card for the Fairy Tales Bingo fest. It has been sponsored by Anthony & Shirley Barrette. This poem belongs to the Polychrome Heroics series.

WARNING: This poem contains intense and controversial topics likely to upset many readers. Highlight to read the warnings, some of which are spoilers and possibly also triggers. It includes teen death by drowning, traumatic grief; complicated grief with various symptoms including lethargy, avoidance of waterfront, and difficulty thinking; nervousness, people still trying to play in dangerous areas, unexpected (but welcome) pregnancy, and other challenges. Readers with concerns about drowning or child loss should think twice. If these are sensitive issues for you, please consider your tastes and headspace before deciding whether this is something you want to read. It's unconnected to any other plots at the moment, so there's no harm in skipping it.
