Community Building Tip: Coworking Hub

For my current set of tips, I'm using the list "101 Small Ways You Can Improve Your City.

24. Turn a freeway overpass into a coworking hub. LA writer Kailee McGee was inspired to change up her work routine while on the road. Or more accurately, over the road. With the help of a handful of friends, McGee set up school desks on the apex of a pedestrian bridge over the 5 Freeway to create a pop-up, open-air coworking hub, complete with Wi-Fi and LaCroix (but of course). Nothing beats a change of perspective.

Poem: "The Professor's Keychain"

This poem came out of the May 5, 2020 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired and sponsored by Shirley Barrette. It also fills the "Strife" square in my 5-1-20 card for the Sumerian Me Bingo fest. This poem belongs to the Shiv thread of the Polychrome Heroics series. It is the sixth in the set, after "The Truest Writers," "Those Who See Language," "A Linguistic Process," "A Living Element," and "Based on the Mistake."

Today is sunny, breezy, and warm.  It was supposed to rain but only a few drops fell, and the breeze is helping dry out earlier mud.

I fed the birds.  I saw a pair of goldfinches this morning.  :D

We cut dead branches off the birdgift apple tree and filled the dumpster.  We still need to do the other side of it, though.

EDIT 5/23/20 -- I went back out and trimmed more weeds around the septic garden.

EDIT 5/23/20 -- I trimmed more weeds around the septic garden.  Most of it's done now, one more round should finish it off.

The Miracle Sudoku

My partner Doug tipped me to this video about sudoku with a couple of chess rules added.  I actually know how this concept works, even though I can't do  it myself.  The extra rules create a distinct pattern within the numerical possibilities, which is visible from the perspective of high enough logical-mathematical intelligence, so once you start poking at it, they pop right up.  If you want to know what it's like to be a genius at this level, listen to the guy explain how the puzzle leads you through its solution.  :D

It's pretty much the same as what happens in form poetry, only with numbers instead of words.
