May 2nd, 2020

Today is partly sunny and quite warm with a light breeze.

I fed the birds.  Earlier today I saw a male goldfinch on the thistle sock.

We picked up sticks and raked part of the ritual meadow.

EDIT 5/2/20 -- Round Two, I pulled weeds around the strip garden.

EDIT 5/2/20 -- Round Three, I transplanted comfrey in the savanna.

EDIT 5/2/20 -- Round Four, I pulled weeds along the patio.

EDIT 5/2/20 -- Round Five, I cut brush along the path to the ritual meadow.

Community Building Tip: Fake Signs

For my current set of tips, I'm using the list "101 Small Ways You Can Improve Your City.

22. Design fake signs. The frighteningly official looking faux signage installed by Michael Pederson stops people in their tracks and engages citizens with their cities, as they look around to see if anyone else noticed the caution sign placed next to a sidewalk crack or a rating system for the quietness of a local park. If you’re aiming to make a bigger splash, you could always take it upon yourself to fix an incorrect sign, like artist Richard Ankrom did with a spot-on replica of a Los Angeles freeway sign in 2001.

It rained some earlier, but now it's a monsoon, plus hail.  This time the hailstones are pea-size or a bit bigger, which is normal, but the amount was more than usual.  And this is what, the third hailstorm this year, I think.  We used to get hail only once every several years.  :/
