How Your Smartphone Can Hurt You

It tracks your location, which can then be given to police who are looking for suspects.  See, this is why we need privacy: to avoid mistaken identity that costs a ton of money to fix.  What people don't know can't be used against you.  Since the law doesn't respect privacy, the safest thing to do is avoid creating or distributing information in the first place.

Nuclear Waste Storage

... can fail if exposed to water

While I applaud searching for more water-resistant containers, I note that there is an expanding area of America with diminishing rain and groundwater, which are robust trends expected to continue for the foreseeable future.  Storing waste in these areas would not only protect it from water, but also minimize the chance of disturbance since humans prefer areas with more water to those with less.

Bonus Fishbowl on Tuesday, March 17

The Poetry Fishbowl has four tallies on its $250 goal, so there will be a bonus fishbowl on Tuesday, March 17 with a theme of "anything goes." You can ask for anything you want! Now is a good time to think about your favorite settings, characters, plotlines, etc. and take notes on what you'd like to see more of. Have you been wondering what happens next to someone? Intrigued by something that I mentioned would come up? Do you have anything you've been wishing I would write that hasn't fit a theme? Prompt for it! If you don't have ideas immediately, consider going back through older material for inspiration. You can ask for new things as well as old things. Please mark the date on your calendars, and I hope to see you then.
