Poetry in Microfunding:

There are three open epics at present.

"Pride Against Prejudice" belongs to Polychrome Heroics. Murray, Boris, Lucy, and Aconite go to a Disability Pride Festival.

"Celebrate and Cherish" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Mallory. Mallory and family begin exploring the Circle School with a teacher.

"Into the Thousand-Eyed Present" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Aquariana and Gentle Soul. Aidan, Saraphina, Drew, and Zipper apply for Maldivian citizenship.

The weather has been variable here.  We got some snow again, but it's all melted now. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a large flock of sparrows, a large flock of mourning doves, several cardinals, several dark-eyed juncos, a downy woodpecker, and a squirrel.

Magpie Monday

[personal profile] dialecticdreamer is hosting Magpie Monday today with a theme of "consequences."

Because the suggested price has changed to two cents a word, I’m also shifting my total goal for posting a bonus story: if I earn $150 in sponsorship, I’ll post a bonus story of eight to nine thousand words in length. The goal for the month is to earn $300, and if I reach that via both prompt calls, I’ll post a third bonus story of eight to nine thousand words. It still doubles the number of words that readers can enjoy!

Mango-Pear Smoothie

We managed to make a good smoothie tonight.  (It's a lot harder than sounds.)  Mango nectar, vanilla yogurt, frozen mango chunks, and a pear.  \o/  This is very similar to a mango lassi, but the pear makes it creamier.

Ironically, we had intended the pear for making apple-pear-ginger but the store didn't have ginger root, so we just threw together some stuff we already had.
