Choline is necessary for certain aspects of brain health, like producing acetylcholine, and may reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Many people, especially vegans and vegetarians, don't get enough of it.

Choline can be found in various foods. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), high levels of choline are found in chicken liver (3oz; 247mg), eggs (1 large egg with yolk;147mg), beef grass-fed steak (3oz; 55mg), wheat germ (1oz toast; 51mg), milk (8oz; 38mg), and Brussels sprouts (1/2 cup; 32mg). Additionally, vitamin supplements containing choline, for example choline bitartrate and choline chloride, are widely available at affordable costs. The vitamin supplements containing choline are particularly relevant for those who are on plant-based diets.

Tattoos and Immunity

Here's an article about tattoos and immunity.  It mentions that getting one tattoo tends to weaken the immune system, while getting many can strengthen it.

White people may think this is new, but it's not only old, it's knowledge found around the world.  A lot of tribal cultures have practiced tattooing and/or scarification.  On the one hand, it shows strength, that you can survive a bunch of little injuries.  On the other, it makes people stronger.  These two beliefs are found in almost every culture that is really into bodymods.  There are weirder versions too.  The Mayans were hardcore self-injury fans.  Logically that would have a similar effect.

... and now I'm wondering if people who self-injure as a coping skill get that effect.  I'm quite certain nobody would have studied that.  Talk about career suicide.

Scrapbooking by the Genders

Continuing a discussion about gender in scrapbooking, I hit a revelation about myself.

My audience contains copious and diverse genders. :D Does anyone else do scrapbooking? If so, feel free to post samples, annotate your gender, and link in a comment below. It would be fun to compile a post linking pictures of pages by all these different genders.

If you want to see scrapbook pages by a metasexual, here are some of mine:

Well I'll be dipped. There it is. You can actually see my gender in my papercraft. I had no idea until I went and looked at it.
