Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. This is the current list.

48. Tell me about a day you had that you’ll never forget.

This one.  And by never, I mean I'll be using that memory to get through hard times in lives yet to come.  I knew that while it was happening.  One of my favorite gifts is knowing key moments as they happen.  :D

A conversation got me looking for resources on knitting while blind, so I thought other folks would enjoy these.

Resources for blind knitting:

Kudos to Lionheart, a yarn company that offers patterns in large print and Braille, and they also carry a how-to book on learning to knit while blind (written by a blind knitter).

Tips for knitters who have recently gone blind:

Sadly I could not find "learn how to knit" instructions for blind people online, but at least those exist in various formats.

Special thanks to Fred, who sent us a big batch of foreign coins for a project that I mentioned some time ago.  \o/  We had a lot of fun looking through them and identifying things like kangaroos, koalas, and a Tasmania wolf.

I came across some references on test swatches. For vision-impaired knitters, who cannot see pictures, test swatches become your pattern book.
