Tuesday Yardening

Today is mostly sunny and mild.

Round One, I fed birds.  Then I pulled weeds around the forest garden.

EDIT 7/23/19 -- Round Two, I started trimming grass around the wildflower garden.

A large branch has broken off a walnut tree and fallen into the savanna.  It will need to be broken down and dragged away.  Possibly the main section can be used for something.

EDIT 7/23/19 -- Round Three, I finished trimming around the wildflower garden.  I trimmed around a sapling.

Some of the northern sea oats and partridge pea are beginning to spread outside the garden.

EDIT 7/23/19 -- Round Four, I cut weeds in the prairie garden.

I think some of the previous sowing of little bluestem grass has survived and is putting up seedheads. They haven't opened yet so I'm not sure.

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.

Demifiction: "Maldivian Geography: Island Treasure Hunt"

This is the bonus material for the month, since we had a bonus fishbowl instead of a half-price sale. It follows the story "Teacher Interview" by [personal profile] dialecticdreamer. This is a version of the lesson plan that could be posted on resource pages for Maldivian distance schools, tourist info, or immigrant support.
