Magpie Monday

[personal profile] dialecticdreamer is hosting Magpie Monday with a theme of "reaching."  Leave prompts, get ficlets!

Because one of the aims for this event is to get money, there is a paypal link to a tip jar at the bottom of this page .I call myself a pennysmith, and figure a penny a word if someone wants to buy a story and have it posted after another editing pass. However, if there are a total of $65 in tips, I will also post “Resolving Troubles,” which is a 6500 word story set in the Berettafly Garden set of stories in the Polychrome Heroics universe. The story can be summarized as “Santiago DeJesus goes DOWN.”

Monday Update 7-8-19

These are some posts from the later part of last week in case you missed them:

Good News

I have written a good bunch of poems from last week's fishbowl.

Poetry in Microfunding:

There are two open epics.

"Everyone Can Dance" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Shiv.  Shiv realizes a possible catch in the plan.

"Until Someone Lives in Them" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Fortressa.  Penny moves in with the Pit Group and they help refine her fashion designs.

Weather here has been intermittently rainy. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a small flock of sparrows, a small flock of mourning doves, several house finches, several grackles, a pair of cardinals, a female goldfinch, and a rabbit. Currently blooming: violas, petunias, pinks, marigolds, alliums, lantana, torenia, million bells, moss rose, firecracker plant, salvia, nasturtiums, phlox, gaillardia, clover, Asian lilies, daylilies, golden rain tree, cleome, morning glories, butterfly weed, blackberry lilies, cup plant, yellow coneflower, and a bunch of other things.  There are a few mulberries left.  Blackberries are turning pink.  Crabapples and apples have green fruit.
