Emotional Intimacy Question: Grateful

Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. This is the current list.

26. What’s something I’ve done for you that you’re grateful for?

Cyberspace makes this a little more awkward than face-to-face, so let's just make it go either way.

I'm grateful for my audience.  You give me inspiration and donations.  Because of you, the world has series about autistics in space, an escaped golem, a free-love farm, friendly monsters, werewolves who belong to a chronic pain group, a God of Drunks, asexual paladins, a black British genderqueer steamsmith, and that place everyone wishes we could move to.  So thanks, y'all, I love you so much.

Poem: "Learning the Vocation"

This poem is spillover from the April 2, 2019 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by a prompt from DW user Satsuma. It also fills the "submission" square in my 4-1-19 card for the School Days Bingo Fest.  This poem belongs to the Path of the Paladins series.

This microfunded poem is being posted one verse at a time, as donations come in to cover them.  The rate is $0.50/line, so $5 will reveal 10 new lines, and so forth. There is a permanent donation button on my profile page, or you can contact me for other arrangements. You can also ask me about the number of lines per verse, if you want to fund a certain number of verses.
So far sponsors include: DW user Satsuma, janetmiles, general fund

381 lines, Buy It Now = $191
Amount donated = $147
Verses posted = 82 of 110

Amount remaining to fund fully = $44
Amount needed to fund next verse = $2.50
Amount needed to fund the verse after that = $1

Thursday Yardening

Today is cloudy, cool, and damp.  It's drizzling, but that didn't stop me from going outside.

I fed the birds.  Yesterday I saw two brown thrashers and a robin under the feeders in the forest garden.  I put out a new thistle sock yesterday too -- the old one got chewed through -- and the finches have already discovered it.  I saw a yellow-bellied woodpecker in the yard today.

My daffodils are blooming, and so are two different colors of miniature iris -- the pale blue I planted previously and the bright violet that are new this year.  :D

A shipment of plants arrived today.  That leaves just one more to come, which I hope will not arrive too soon.  I planted two tayberries (a blackberry relative) in the berry patch at the end of the prairie garden.

Rainbow Fudge

We finished the second one today, labeled Rainbow Fudge.  Soft and creamy and delicious, this one has much more of a spice flavor.  The cardamom predominates, varied with notes from other flavors.  It reminds me very much of spiced truffle filling.  It's an excellent dessert for people who like those, or cardamom in general, or East Indian sweets.  :D

Ingredients: cream, butter, sugar, cherry & blueberry powders, orange & pandan extracts, ginger, cardamom, food color, salt, edible glitter (gum Arabic).

See pictures of both rainbow fudges.
