This is an advance announcement for the Tuesday, October 2, 2018 Poetry Fishbowl. This time the theme will be "If you're going through hell, keep going!"I'll be soliciting ideas for adventurers, clergy, demons, angels, hapless victims, counselors, superheroes, supervillains, teenagers, runaways, soldiers, refugees, trauma survivors, other people going through hell, traveling, fighting, struggling to survive, counseling, studying, coming of age, troubleshooting, discovering problems, seeing horrors that you can't unsee, finding creative solutions, confronting deception, asking questions, exploring new techniques, learning what you can do, battlefields, liminal zones, the dark forest, cthonic realms, the subconscious, the glory road, ruined cities, churches or temples, counseling centers, apocalyptic civilizations, volcanoes, other hellish places, wildfires, sulfur, bad trips, personal growth, despair, determination, a mind is a terrible place to hide anything, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and mortared with just following orders, escape clauses, unforseen circumstances, when the whole world changes out from under you, rites of passage, superpower manifestation, and poetic forms in particular.
I have a linkback poem, "Between the Normal and the Abnormal" (10 verses, standalone).
If you're interested, mark the date on your calendar, and please hold actual prompts until the "Poetry Fishbowl Open" post next week. (If you're not available that day, or you live in a time zone that makes it hard to reach me, you can leave advance prompts. I am now.) Meanwhile, if you want to help with promotion, please feel free to link back here or repost this on your blog.
