Read "Chaos Out Of Order"

[personal profile] bairnsidhe wrote "Chaos Out Of Order" for my prompt in the July [community profile] crowdfunding Creative Jam.  I have now sponsored it, so enjoy a story about a queer trickster supervillain with chaos butterfly powers learning a valuable life lesson.  :D

This is so  much more interesting than Marvel's soup of the day movies.

Poetry in Microfunding:

There are now three open epics. I expect to have more as I finish writing some of the bingo fills, so other than those, we're full for now.

"Energy, Made Visible" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Shiv. Now Shiv flibbers over being unable to earn ALL the pretty colors at once.

"Only If It Is Embraced" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Damask and has 44 new verses. In which a supervillain and a cop argue over donuts.

"Mask of the White Demon" belongs to Kande's Quest. Kande finds a shaman to help her pursue the demons who kidnapped her brother.

"A Certain Form of Humility" is now complete. Find out what happens to Johan and Althey after the odd energy surge.

The weather has been variable here, warm to hot, and we got a little rain.  Seen at the birdfeeders this week: sparrows, several cardinals, flocks of of house finches, and a squirrel. In bloom: marigolds, gazania, blue lobelia, white alyssum, zinnias, torenia, salvia, cleome, petunia, million bells, snapdragons, lantana, coreopsis, dianthus, peppers, basil, daylilies, begonia, morning glory, butterfly weed, yellow wildflowers, blackberry lilies, and sundry others. Crabapples, apples, and pears have green fruit. Mulberries are effectively done.  Blackberries are starting to ripen, but there aren't many this year.

Poem: "Wings, Dragons"

This is the linkback perk poem from the July 3, 2018 Poetry Fishbowl, originally hosted by DW user Dialecticdreamer.  It was inspired by a prompt from Starbit.  It fills the "flashy entrances" square in my 5-1-18 General card for the Pro Wrestling Bingo fest.  This poem belongs to the series "A Conflagration of Dragons."

Half-Price Sale in Polychrome Heroics

This week, the poetry of Polychrome Heroics is on sale for half price from Monday, July 16 through Sunday, July 22. This series is superhero fantasy. It features themes of heroism, coming of age, diversity, identity kink, family of choice, friendship, and cultural engineering. Sale prices range from $28.50 to $305, so hopefully there will be something for everyone. There are three open epics at present, and at least one more planned, so no more for now.

About timing: If you want maximum choice, shop early. We usually send a batch of things to my parents near the end of a sale, and those poems will be posted as I have time.

About pools: Yes, you can combine your funds with other prompters to buy a bigger poem.  Yes, you can offer to match donations by other people.  However, the wordsmith is not also a math whiz!  After several attempts to find a way that I can work with pools and matches, I have concluded that this is over my head.  (I did figure out how to avoid generating fractional pennies, though: all initial prices are now whole dollars, which means they cut evenly into halves and quarters.)  So if you want to host a pool or a match, make a post for that in your blog or other venue, then comment here with what you're doing and include a link to wherever the discussion will be.  You figure out the poems, you collect the funds, and when stuff is fully funded, you send me the money and the list of what it's for.  Then I'll post the goodies.

Before placing your order, please check this sale page to see what is still unsold! I will try to update the page as things sell, and it's likely to be the case that some poems will be marked SOLD before appearing in posts. People often buy things in batches, which means that selling gets ahead of posting. Also sometimes people ask for the same thing at the same time, so that not all overlaps are preventable. If you have alternate instructions in case you request something that has just sold, please include that in your message; otherwise I'll email you back and ask what you want to do.
