Think about all the stuff you have wanted to prompt that didn't fit a theme -- now's the time for that. Any poetic form, technique, or topic is fair game too. I hope to see you then!

The weather has been warmer here, intermittently sunny and gray, but only a little rain once. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a flock of sparrows, a flock of mourning doves, several cardinals, some brown-headed cowbirds, a house finch, a brown thrasher, and a bluejay. I have seen an indigo bunting and a goldfinch in the grass too. On the way to visit my parents, we saw a bald eagle! More butterflies are out. Daffodils, crabapples, and cherries are done. Some other apple trees have flowers on them. In bloom: violets, gold currant, late black tulips, lilacs, honeysuckles, jack-in-the-pulpit, pink chives, columbine, white alliums, purple alliums, white spirea, marigolds, gazania, blue lobelia, white alyssum, zinnias, and sundry others. Budding: raspberries, iris, peonies. I have finished planting everything from the Michigan Bulb Company box. I finished the small flat of wildflowers from the Native Plant Sale and started on the herbs. I still have a whole flat of prairie wildflowers and grasses to put out. And it's 90 again today. :P
