The Wordsmith's Forge

I am making another batch of shortbread cookies, this time with a little lemon juice and cardamom added.  Note: melt  the butter, don't just soften it.  The previous batch of dough behaved well, this was a mess of crumbs.  If it doesn't ball up in the bowl, it won't roll out on the cookie sheet.  >_<

The Buddha bits turned out quite well after I picked them off the tray to toss in sugar.  \o/
