Good News

Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good. It can be personal or public. We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone. It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.

What good news have you had recently?

Bulbs to Plant

My birthday present arrived!  Bought in spring, to plant in fall, to bloom in spring.  :D  10 Minnow Daffodils, 5 Showinner Tulips, 12 Pickwick Crocus, 15 Snow Crocus, 10 Grecian Windflowers, 18 Early Snow Glories, 12 Blue Grape Hyacinths, 18 Early Stardrift.  Billed as a Wildflower Garden, although only about half of these actually are wild flowers.  The others can go into some of my other gardens, and the wild bulbs will go into the wildflower garden.  \o/

Wednesday Yardening

Today I planted five Showinner tulips.  There's no photo online, but the label says they are red tulips that bloom in early spring.

I was planning to put out the Minnow daffodils too, but the ground is hard and dry.  As we have several chances for rain later in the week, I'm hoping some of that will materialize to soften the soil.
