Wednesday Yardening

Today I planted about a dozen daffodils in the prairie garden.  These were a gift from my father, leftovers from his big bags of bulbs for naturalizing.

My birthday present -- a big bundle of various bulbs -- has not yet arrived.  It claims to have shipped, though.

The blackberry lilies are going to seed.  A few thistle blooms remain, but mostly the thistles are clouds of fluff now.  The frost asters are blooming.  The prairie garden is all over goldenrod, taller than I am and swarming with insects.

New verses in "Bearers of Witness with Justice"

The new monitor and mouse have been installed, so my computer is working normally now.  I'm striving to catch up with backlog.

Thanks to assorted donations, including some nice big chunks from ng_moonmoth and smaller tidbits from the general fund, there are 36 new verses in "Bearers of Witness with Justice."  See more whinging from the Japanese sailors and everyone else's thorough lack of patience with it.

Good News

Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good. It can be personal or public. We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone. It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.

What good news have you had recently?
