This week's Poetry Fishbowl brought some great prompts, though not a lot of donations.

The weather has been warmer this week.  Currently blooming: zinnias, petunias, marigolds, million bells, moss rose, pansies, comfrey, echinacea, morning glories, yellow coneflowers, Queen Anne's lace, chicory, Shasta daisies, coreopsis, milkweed.  Large blackberries are ripe.  Crabapples and apricots have green fruit.  

This poem came out of the July 5, 2016 poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by prompts from ari_the_dodecahedron and LJ user Ng_moonmoth. It also fills the "finding home/family" square in my 6-1-16 card for the Cottoncandy Bingo fest, and the "happy ending" square in my 7-1-16 card for the trope_bingo fest.
