"Common Waters"
A DW prompt inspired the sea chantey "Common Waters," written in double-ballad form with refrains in the 2-4 lines.  You could seriously haul rope in time to this song.  It talks about life on the waves and the importance of cooperation.
24 lines, Buy It Now = $10

"Unfit Proxies"
This contributed to the free-verse poem "Unfit Proxies."  A bunch of disaffected people decide to populate their own islands and do things differently.
88 lines, Buy It Now = $44 In microfunding now

People had tried all manner
of governments, and most of those
pleased most of their citizens
most of the time.

However, there were always
some people who found themselves
displeased by any kind of government
.

Unsold Poems from the October 6, 2015 Poetry Fishbowl

The following poems from the October 6, 2015 Poetry Fishbowl are currently available. Poems may be sponsored via PayPal -- there's a permanent donation button on my LiveJournal profile page -- or you can write to me and discuss other methods.

"Between the Visible and Invisible"
Your voodoo prompt inspired the free-verse poem "Between the Visible and Invisible."  Flambeaux and Rougarou set out to stop Wanga from hexing people, but they need some help from a skull-and-bones gang.
234 lines, Buy It Now = $117

Flambeaux was out on the gallery
of Lagniappe's family home when
Mudslinger came to ask for help.

"Sorry I'm late for the meeting,"
Mudslinger said, "but that Wanga
is raising Cain in Slidell again, and
I don't know any hexbreakers.
Half the time I cain't even find
the saleau  before he gone."

Family Mayhem

EDIT 12-2-15: The situation is fixed, they have a replacement car, and donations are no longer needed.  Thank you all!

One of my relatives is stranded mid-trip.  :(  Signal boosts and donations are welcome.  See Our Voyage West on Facebook.

The car is officially dead. It needs a replacement engine. As that's not an expense we planned on, we could use some help. The mechanic is going to look around for used engines to put in, but realistically that's going to cost over $1,000 in labor, regardless of the cost of the engine.
At this moment we are in Del Norte, Colorado, still very far from home and far from any large city. If you would like to help, you can donate via PayPal (link:
paypal.me/TrevorEdwards ). If you can't spare any change, you can share this post and ask others for their help.

Prompt Call: "Pay It Forward"

EDIT 12-2-15: The situation is fixed, they have a replacement car, and donations are no longer needed. Thank you all!

[personal profile] dialecticdreamer has responded to our family mayhem by hosting a "Pay It Forward" prompt call to raise funds.  Anyone willing to donate $5 or more to the emergency fund can get a 500-word ficlet written to your prompt.  Since this is not for personal profit, fanfic (see the list of familiar fandoms on the prompt page) and my settings (Polychrome Heroics and Frankenstein's Family are especially apt) are open.  If you want our stranded relatives to know that this particular packet of help came by way our efforts, you can mention us and the Pay It Forward project.

As the name implies, if you've ever been broke down in the middle of nowhere and benefited from the help of a kindly stranger, now's an opportunity to return the favor.  If you're broke too, you can still help by boosting the signal for the prompt call.  Thank you!
