There are still verses left in the linkback poem "Silken Dreams."  Linking to this page will reveal new verses of that.

"Circuits and Cycles"
I used one of my bingo squares, sports, to spark the free-verse poem "Circuits and Cycles." Shahana and Johan watch their novices play a game of circuitball.

"The Golden Peaches of Peace"
Based on a DW prompt, "The Golden Peaches of Peace" is a free-verse poem about Shahana and Ari celebrating midsummer with a sacred confection.
60 lines, Buy It Now = $20

"The Power of Perseverance"
A DW whetstone prompt inspired the free-verse poem "The Power of Perseverence." Shahana teaches Ari a new meditation.
30 lines, Buy It Now = $15

"Something You Feel"
A quarterboard prompt provided part of the background for the free-verse poem "Something You Feel." Gorrein clings to the drummer boy who is darn near the only person even still speaking to him. And then Gorrein's parents come home and life really begins to suck.

The drummer boy turned out to be
not entirely inept at strategy,
which surprised Gorrein at first,
but thinking further it made sense
that he would attract followers with
that sort of knack, regardless of age.

Based on a DW prompt, "Sprouts" is a free-verse poem in which Larn and Dalka teach the children how to plant a garden.

Good News

Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good.  It can be personal or public.  We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone.  It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.

What good news have you had recently?

About Fury Road

So everyone is talking about Mad Max: Fury Road and I am starting to contemplate actually watching this movie. I'm not as much a fan of postapocalyptic stuff as I used to be, but daaaamn the buzz is strong with this one.  Thanks to [personal profile] technoshaman for the link.
