Read "Storm-Tossed" by Dialecticdreamer

I have sponsored the story "Storm-Tossed" by [personal profile] dialecticdreamer, which is a sequel to "Storm-Brought" that I prompted some time ago.  This is sociological science fiction about first contact from the alien perspective, with attention to how a human's arrival can complicate survival in an already precarious position.

Half-Price Sale: Polychrome Heroics

This week, the poetry of Polychrome Heroics is on sale for half price from Monday, April 20 through Sunday, April 26.  This series is superhero fantasy.  It features themes of heroism, coming of age, diversity, identity kink, family of choice, friendship, and cultural engineering.  Sale prices range from $10 to $129, so hopefully there will be something for everyone.  There are no open epics at present, so there is room to open a new epic for microfunding in Polychrome Heroics if you wish to do so.

Poem: "Worshipping the Sun"

This poem came out of the April 2015 Creative Jam. It was inspired and sponsored by [personal profile] siliconshaman. It also fills the "feudal ties / master and servant" square in my 9-1-14 card for the [community profile] ladiesbingo fest. This poem features the characters introduced in the story "Atomic" by [personal profile] siliconshaman, and will make more sense if you have read that first. They belong to the series Polychrome Heroics.

Note: This poem features two women in an intimate relationship of unusual dynamics, with some major obstacles to overcome. The descriptions are vivid but not erotically explicit. Think about your tastes before deciding whether or not this is something you want to read.

There are two new guide pages for threads in the Polychrome Heroics series: Antimatter & Stalwart Stan in Omaha, Nebraska and Aquariana mostly in the Republic of the Maldives.  Use these pages to follow the storylines in sequence, reading from the top down.  Character lists and summaries help you figure out what's going on in each installment.

The half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics is open from Monday, April 20-Sunday, April 26.  The quarter-price option is available for anyone who wants to spend $100 or more.

Poetry in Microfunding:
"Settled" is the third piece of the Polychrome Heroics triptych about the fight at SPOON.  It now complete, and you can see some of the fallout from Hannah's actions.

Weather here is cloudy and blustery.  Snowdrops, daffodils, jonquils, grape hyacinths, forsythia, wild violets, gold currants, serviceberries, lilacs, redbuds, cherries, crabapples, and pear are blooming.  I've gotten one batch of asparagus.  I saw a pair of squirrels at eye-level from the upstairs window.
