This is an advance announcement for the Tuesday, March 3, 2015 Poetry Fishbowl. This time the theme will be "surviving the worst."
I'll be soliciting ideas for survivors, desperate people, heroes, villains, innocent bystanders, being prepared, facing challenges, solving problems, thinking outside the box, proving yourself, glorious success, abject failure, damage along the way, souvenirs and mementos, the bad part of town, dungeons, doom planets, the wilderness, that place everybody told you not to go but you did anyway, situations where the deck is stacked, shipwrecks or other transportation failures, endings and beginnings, worst case scenarios, whatever doesn't kill me had better run for its life, the end of the world as we know it, survival skills, coping skills, and poetic forms in particular.
I have a linkback poem, "To Choose a Direction" (17 verses, Heliodrax
). DW user Dialecticdreamer will be hosting it.
If you're interested, mark the date on your calendar, and please hold actual prompts until the "Poetry Fishbowl Open" post next week. (If you're not available that day, or you live in a time zone that makes it hard to reach me, you can leave advance prompts.) Meanwhile, if you want to help with promotion, please feel free to link back here or repost this on your blog. ( Collapse )
