Half-Price Sale: Polychrome Heroics

The fishbowl sale is SOLD OUT! Thank you for your enthusiasm.

This week, the poetry of Polychrome Heroics is on sale for half price from Monday, October 20 through Sunday, October 26.  (Sorry it's starting so late in the day; I meant to post it this morning, but we're having some schedule challenges here.)  This series is superhero fantasy.  It features themes of heroism, coming of age, diversity, identity kink, family of choice, friendship, and cultural engineering.  Sale prices range from $7.50 to $157, so hopefully there will be something for everyone.  We currently have two epics open for microfunding, neither in this series, so there is room to open one new epic in Polychrome Heroics if you wish to do so.

Monday Update 10-20-14

These are some posts from the later part of last week in case you missed them:

Writing Aliens
Inspirograph
Read "Clearing the Air" by Dialecticdreamer

The Crowdfunding Creative Jam ran this past weekend.  Four things were written to my prompts, and I wrote five poems, one of which is posted as the freebie.  Click the link to find the posted ones.

This week there is a half-price sale (or quarter-price if you spend $100+) in Polychrome Heroics.  Watch for sponsored poetry to appear!

Poetry News talks about my attempts, with help from some fans, to organize the Polychrome Heroics material.  Feedback is still welcome, and it's helping.

Poetry in Microfunding:
"Pitfalls" is now complete; see what happens to Brenda and Darrel at the police station.  "The Lotus Warriors" is science fiction about an alien invasion, the Resistance against which is led by people with chronic fatigue syndrome.  In my writing, ANYONE can be a hero!  "Climbing Rocks" belongs to the series P.I.E.  Brenda and Darrel face off against a rock monster.

Torn World writing update:
Approved as canon: "Unicorns on Parade" "Spruce Deer" "Wandering the Heights" (poetry).  Back to me for edits: "Cutting Cords and Clasping Hands (Parts 1-4)," "Winterheart" (parts 2-3), "Stinging Like Nettles"  "Off the Clock" (poetry).  Currently in front of the canon board: "The Science of Madness" (poetry), "Ghost Bat" (nonfiction). Drafted: "Like Ash Before the Wind," "From Dark to Bright," "The Inappropriate But Useful Disposal of Lettuce" "A Thin Red Trail" (fiction), "Changes in the Wind" (poetry), "Southern Breads" "Tangleweed Article" (articles), Jularei (character sheet).  In revision at home: "Water Dance," "When the Wind's Teeth Sing," "Raining Kittens," "Finding the Holes" (fiction), "The Smallest Invaders"  (poetry).  Currently writing: "Catch of the Day," "A Cold Clear Night" (fiction).

Weather was cold last week, but more pleasant now.  Currently blooming: marigolds, portulaca, zinnias, sweet alyssum, torenia.  Green fruit: pears, apples. I've seen the squirrel more often.
