Fledgling Grace Birds (Part 1 of 4)

In the Fledgling Grace series, humans gain the wings and tails of various bird species.  The most common correlation is with geography/ethnicity: most people have the wings of a bird from where their ancestors lived.  The affiliation tends to be somewhat broad: a country, a tribe, a clan, or a significant subgroup within a larger group.  Religion is another factor.  Sex/gender parameters, morality, and other factors may also influence the manifestation.  Later on, more exotic variations have emerged.  So there are definite correlations and trends,  but few if any absolutes.  Here is a guide to the origins linked to specific birds.

Poll for Interest in Themes

I have collated the responses from yesterday's call for theme suggestions in the Poetry Fishbowl.  I deleted a couple we've already done, merged and rephrased a few for optimum effect, etc.  Okay, wow ... there are 35 theme suggestions on my list now.  That's unweildy to put in a regular poll.  So I'm going to do a scale poll again, where you can use a scale (1 = hate, 10 = love) to indicate your level of interest in each theme.  You don't have to vote on every theme if you don't want to, but the more you mark, the more influence you'll have.  I'll weed out the less popular themes and make a voting poll later.

Oh, and if you're looking for theme ideas for some project of your own, obviously I have an embarrassment of riches here.  Feel free to use any of these; they're just topics and will doubtless go different places in different projects.
