New in Torn World

I have a couple of new poems up in Torn World:

"After the Sauna" is spicy content for registered readers only.
Fuursh assists some women in the sauna.

"A Timely Gift" is for supporters only.
A gift proves to be more than it seems.

If you like these poems and want to see more like them, please consider sending me credits or karma through Torn World's crowdfunding options.  Not a Torn World member, but still want to support the work? I have a permanent PayPal button on my LJ profile page.

New Crowdfunding Project: "Hunt Press Needs ISBNs"

This announcement came from angela_n_hunt today.  If you're tired of the mainstream ignoring or slamming your interests and affinities, consider supporting small press efforts instead.

Hey folks!

Just wanted to let you know about 'Hunt Press Needs More ISBNs!'

As most of you know, I am the owner and Madam Publisher of Hunt Press. It
is currently in the process of exploding from micropress status to

Disabilities in Torn World

I suggested to ellenmillion that it would be helpful to have a Torn World story collection for all the stuff featuring characters with disabilities.  Check out what we have so far; she put this together this afternoon.  I've made a few more suggestions.  If you're a registered Torn World member, you can put the collection on your "watch" list and get an email notice every time a new piece is added.  Feel free to share the list with any of your friends who are into this topic, too; much of the content is visible to the public.

Poem: "Getting a Room"

This poem fills another square on my card for the [community profile] cottoncandy_bingo fest.

The following poem belongs to Schrodinger's Heroes, featuring an apocryphal television show supported by an imaginary fandom. It's science fiction about quantum physics and saving the world from alternate dimensions. It features a very mixed cast in terms of ethnicity and sexual orientation. This project developed with input from multiple people, and it's open for everyone to play in. You can read more about the background, the characters, and a bunch of assorted content on the menu page.

Fandom: Original (Schrodinger's Heroes)
Prompt: Comfortable Silence
Medium: Poetry
Summary: A sentient coffee table has a hard time finding a comfortable place to stay in the compound.
Content Notes: Diverse sexualities, including asexuality.
