"Storm Wrack" is complete!

Due to a surprise donation, "Storm Wrack" is now complete.  Johan shares his ideas about what makes a paladin.

This unlocks the two new poems from the May 1, 2012 fishbowl:

"Uneasy Things" -- 200 lines, $100 (Path of the Paladins)
From the prompt about Einar, I got the free-verse poem "Uneasy Things." Einar and Johan meet in a market where Einar is selling off his ready stock and some secondhand goods. Among the things they talk about are their experiences with less than respectable orders. And sometimes, things that were lost may be found again, all unlooked for.

"Swimming Against the Tide" -- 78 lines, $39 (Path of the Paladins)
Swimming Against the Tide" is a free-verse poem from Path of the Paladins. Your hapless mercenary finds himself kicked out of Gorrein's employ by an evil paladin for behaving like a decent human being. Well, that's awkward...

So now the general fund poll needs to be closed and redone, sorry for the tangle there.

Replacement Poll for General Fund in May 2012

Due to another donation, "Storm Wrack" has been completed.  Also more money has come into the general fund, which is now at $70.50. That invalidates the previous poll for the general fund.  Here is a new poll.  Everyone is eligible to vote, and if you voted in the last one, please do vote again.  I will leave this one open until at least Sunday afternoon.  If there's a clear winner then, I'll close it.  Otherwise I may leave it open a while longer.  I apologize for the hassle.

Half-Price Poetry Sale

Based on an audience poll, the featured series will be Path of the Paladins.  The half-price poetry sale will run Monday, May 14-Sunday May 20 (or until the poems sell out).

Because "Storm Wrack" is now complete, the two new epics "Uneasy Things" and "Swimming Against the Tide" are now unlocked.  Currently there are 6 epics and 1 medium-short poem available in Path of the Paladins.  You can read the listing on the Serial Poetry page.

Poem: "Crossing the Line"

This poem came out of the March 6, 2012 Poetry Fishbowl.  It was inspired by prompts from the_vulture, lilfluff, meeksp, marina_bonomi, aldersprig, eseme, and siege.  It has been selected as the free epic in an audience poll, based on the May 1, 2012 fishbowl reaching the $200 goal.  This poem belongs to the series Gloryroad Crossing, and you can find the other poems through the Serial Poetry page.
