In this case, the federal definition of marriage was ruled unconstitutional, because it denies rights to one group enjoyed by another group, without any reasonable cause for doing so.  A lesbian seeking insurance benefits for her spouse was granted the right to same, just as heterosexual couples enjoy.  And that's today's bit of good news!

This gives a whole new meaning to "media" as applied to books.
