I was impressed by this Sherlock BBC story, "Subliminal," which does an exceptional job of showing Sherlock's thought processes. It's slower going in text than the television version, but accomplishes the same thing. Always useful to know.
This essay talks about the extreme stress of being a single mother at Christmas, especially on an Indian reservation. It includes a list of several charities that do toy drives for reservation kids. Pine Ridge isn't listed, but there's one for Rosebud which is kind of connected for me since another family member used to volunteer at that one. Also there are some charities that seem to serve more than a single reservation.
