Schrodinger's Heroes: More Evil!Schrodinger

Schrodinger's Heroes  is an apocryphal television show about quantum physics and keeping the Earth safe from alternate dimensions.  If you're not familiar with it, you can browse the menu page.  The following images may make more sense if you have read the descriptions for Melannen's characters and my characters.  LOL_Heroes is a branch of LOL picspam inspired by Schrodinger's Heroes.

I have added more images to the Evil Schrodinger Alone gallery.

Poem: "With Mortal Flesh and Iron Will"

This is the fourth perk poem for the 2011 Winterfaire.  (Double back to read the first three, "All in the Family," "Gallery of Souls," and "Wipeout," which are now complete.) All of these activities will unlock a verse each time someone does one of them:

* link to the Winterfaire page to boost the signal
* comment posting a Booth of your wares/services in the Winterfaire
* buy something from a vendor listed in the Winterfaire
* host a similar holiday market in your own blog or other venue
LiveJournal will notify me of comments to this post and links to it elsewhere on LJ; for everything else, you need to TELL ME in order to get credit for it.

Leftover verses are now being used as perks for responding to the "Let's Talk About Ebooks of My Poetry" post. This poem is now complete!

"With Mortal Flesh and Iron Will" belongs to the series The Clockwork War.  It's military science fiction about an invasion of alien robots and humanity's valiant battle for freedom.  You can read more about this series on my Serial Poetry page. The Women of Star Trek

I found this brilliant website with essays about the women (and other female or female-esque beings) who appeared in Star Trek: The Original Series.  I am especially charmed by the ones about Uhura, T'Pau, T'Pring, Stella, and the Mother Horta.

However, I still think Kirk was a horndog who porked quite a lot of female-shaped beings across the galaxy.  And I'm aware that the show went for eyecandy in dressing actresses ... but I'm mostly okay with that, because I like looking at hot women, and most of them were SMART as well as beautiful.

What Joss Whedon Is All About

I was watching an interview with Joss Whedon and some Buffy  cast members today.  James Marsters (Spike) summed it up perfectly: "On another series, we'd know what's going to happen next.  Somebody gets their arm broken, somebody gets kissed.  YOU could turn us into SNAILS."

My characters say things like that to me.  Gotta love it.

Aether Dancer: Next Phase

The Aether Dancer  project is focused on making a steampunk webseries show with an attractively mixed cast.  The first fundraiser didn't reach its goal but did fund a very cool trailer, which you can see on the project page for the new fundraiser.  This time they're looking to raise $2000 toward preproduction (cameras, props, etc.) and the funding only goes through if they make their goal.

I really like this project and I think it's interesting to watch how it develops as people meet challenges and work through them.  They keep going and trying new things.
