Torn World: "Sea Monsters of the Central Gulf"

You can now read my article "Sea Monsters of the Central Gulf" over on Torn World.  This area lies between the northern and southern continents, bounded by islands at the western and eastern edges.

If you like this article and want to see more like it, please consider sending me credits or karma through Torn World's crowdfunding options.  Not a Torn World member, but still want to support the work? I have a permanent PayPal button on my LJ profile page.

Buy "Family Ties & Torn Skies" on Torn World

*fanfare* *confetti*

The first Torn World anthology is now available, Family Ties & Torn Skies.  The PDF ebook is available now; the print copy can be preordered now and is expected to ship in mid-June.  Preordering a hardcopy also gets you a free ebook copy!  This anthology is a great place to get started with Torn World if you haven't ventured onto the main site yet.  It includes fiction, poetry, and artwork about both the northern and southern cultures, focused on the different ways people define and practice family.  I have 12 items in this book.  ellenmillion wrote a post about the anthology over on torn_world too.

Generally Sponsored Poetry Poll for May 2011

This is the generally sponsored poetry poll following the May 3, 2011 Poetry Fishbowl.  (You can read more about that in its followup report.)  The general fund contains $20.  There are four $10 poems left: "The Moon's Cool Blade," "The Rock of Our Love," "The Whisperer," and "Your Friend the Stick."  There is one $15 poem left: "The Changeling's Return."  There is one $20 poem left: "The Hunters Among Us."  I'll also offer a chance to activate "Igor's Creature" as an epic, since someone asked about that earlier.  For thumbnails see the list of unsold poems from May 2011.

This poll has two parts.  First, decide how you want to allocate the funds.  Second, if the vote goes for two $10 poems, pick which ones you want to publish.  Everyone is welcome to vote!  I'll check Tuesday evening, and if there's a clear winner, I'll post the winning poem(s) then.  If not I may let it run a little longer.
