Recipe: "Deer-in-a-Thicket"

I've made some interesting meatloaves this year. This is the most remarkable of them. I got to thinking that one way to keep venison from drying out would be to cover it with a layer of pork sausage. So then some of my fantasy characters chirped, "Oh, you mean like deer-in-a-thicket!" "Deer-in-a-thicket?" thought I. It turns out this is a popular dish across a couple of countries there: hot pork sausage wrapped around venison burger wrapped around a handful of blackberries. (This is not the first time I've snitched a recipe from people living in another world.) So I've been wanting to make this for a couple months now, and finally had a chance. It is mouth-watering good.
