Schrodinger's Heroes: Alter!Tim

Schrodinger's Heroes  is an apocryphal television show about quantum physics and keeping the Earth safe from alternate dimensions.  If you're not familiar with it, you can browse the menu page.  The following images may make more sense if you have read the descriptions for Melannen's characters and my characters.  LOL_Heroes is a branch of LOL picspam inspired by Schrodinger's Heroes.

Tim the Tentacle Monster comes from another dimension, stranded with Schrodinger's team.  He is a brilliant scientist, but so far hasn't managed to get himself home yet.  He is effectively asexual, and has been unable to explain his species' reproduction to humans.  Sometimes he gets turned into a cat, or is a cat in alternate dimensions.  Alter!Tim is a classic silver tabby.  See full-size pictures in the Alter Tim gallery of my LJ scrapbook.

You know, I can totally see Lord Ottoman Lichter ending up in that universe during his travels. He has a spacetime ship (moves through space AND time) which is too big to land, and so in one of the stories he comes down to Earth via "the lift," a smaller spacetime vessel that is a giant metal box that crashes in the garden, startling his best friend, Jonathan Holmes.

EDIT: His spacetime ship also goes to alternate universes.
Schrodinger's Heroes is an open-source setting. Let me know if you decide to play there and I'll link to what you write.
Do you have links to any existing stories? I want to read up on the characters more first.
I recommend "About the Show," a summary of the background concept. For fiction, consider "Testing the Waters" and "Verbs Not Nouns."

Tim is wonderful because he gives an outside perspective on humanity. He just doesn't see the world quite the same way.
