Three New Elements Named

Nether-Earth is the steampunk setting where Maryam Smith lives, from "The Steamsmith." I had to come up with something to call it, because the science is all different. For instance, there are five elements: aer (Air), ge (Earth), hudor (Water), pyra (Fire), and aether (Quintessence). Those stick together into molecules, such as phos (Light) which is one atom of aer and one atom of pyra. I've been working on background material all week. Imagine combining hard science fiction, alternate history, and sociological science fiction in a blender and leaning on frappe. We will loosely call the result "steampunk" since that's where it started. But by this point the setting is rather weirder than most of the science fiction, fantasy, or alternate history I have written.
