Crowdfunded Illustration: "Restoration"

meeksp has posted an update of the illustration based on my poem "Restoration."  View it on LiveJournal or on Dreamwidth.  The radiator dragon now has wee little legs, and scales, and a back rill; and is draped in a wavery line over the wire rack.  The two monsters have been considerably refined -- check out the huge sad eyes -- although there's more room for detailing there.

More comments get more work done on a sketch, so please let the artist know what you think of this update.  Donations are welcome too.  aldersprig has suggested (on LJ) that it would be fun to see a followup image of the dragon on the radiator, so that's something else you can mention if the idea appeals.

In related news: meeksp recently posted a screencap from her work on the Mikaspace website, which will provide a navigable gallery for all the Story Sketches.  Keep an eye out for that to go live.

Perhaps you and meeksp could consider printing up a book of the monster House poems and illustrations? I adore your Restoration and meeksp's illustration is perfect for it!

Had an idea that you might like: the anti-hero theme. A prompt call might come up with some very good ideas for you.
:)

angela_n_hunt has plans to print a Monster House collection eventually, after the Origami Mage. The electronic illustrations aren't compatible with that printing process. *ponder* But I'm wondering if they might be doable in an ebook edition.

Noted and logged, thanks.
Something else I've wondered:
How would a culture treat a holiday devoted to Loki or Trickster? Would this be the day that practical jokers are turned loose with no holds barred or what?
:)
Basically, yes -- and there have been such holidays historically. Some were wilder than others.
