I agree, comcast sucks. And I have it for cable and internet.
I was horrified when they took over our local cable company. Many more slow days, or dropped connections.

Don't even get me started on big businesses' attempts to "buy" the Internet: that's exactly what it is, too - buy it up and then sell it to the highest bidder so that only the rich companies can afford high speeds, and the rest of us will be plodding along, back to the days of dial-up.
One of the dangers of capitalism is that, in the absence of checks and balances, it can cause severe degradation of goods and services. When companies focus wholly on profit instead of meeting consumer needs, they behave as parasites instead of symbionts. The result is undesirable and unsustainable. People are finding this out the hard way.

On the other hoof, one good thing about capitalism is that it encourages competition. If a company reeeeaaaalllly sucks ... that leaves them open to competition from others who don't. Large groups of outraged customers can band together and start a competing company.
One more reason to quit cable and just do netflix!

I love the precious netflixs, and I hates commercials!

Failure is more frequently from want of energy than want of capital.
