All the 'news' about it is only showing up on rather dubious websites, to say the least. The few times it's mentioned by more robust sources, they're just as skeptical.
If the thing worked, would it not make commercial sense to have it given the seal of approval by the world's top physics labs and researchers? All it would have to do is work as described...

It sounds too good to be true.

That is not science.

The bells sheared off the retaining bolts and ricocheted across the room about a dozen times, then embedded themselves in a solid steel wall the moment I saw ALUMINUM FOIL.
I don't CARE how good of a neutron reflector aluminum foil is, you DON'T use it for something like THIS!
I'm sorry. There have been too many frauds.
My hopes for cold fusion have been ripped out of my heart, electrocuted, incinerated to dust, ashes mixed with water to make clay, shaped into a dildo, baked in atomic fire, glazed with broken glass and then used to rape my left ear until my brains ran down the back of my throat and got pooped out six hours later and flushed.
I will be convinced when one of these !@&$^%@-heads tells the WHOLE WORLD to go screw themselves and builds a FIFTY-KILOWATT GENERATION PLANT and hooks it up to the grid for a full year.
When that happens, I'll amuse myself with the dream that it could possibly be something that has some potential.

I should trademark an ad campaign for this...
Cold fusion.
You'll get a lot for your nickel,
including change.
Wow!

Since it's neither copyrighted nor a trademark,
feel free to repeat it.
If this really works and it catches on more quickly because of my phrase,
that will be reward enough.

And it needs to be Las Vegas.

When they have one of these things running, and it's reliable enough to work even in front of people who aren't ignorant about physics, then I'll be delighted about it. Until then this sounds like a dozen other fraudster claims for cold fusion. It sounds like thousands of claims for perpetual motion too, for that matter.
