Cold Fusion

This page describes a cold fusion process involving nickel and hydrogen, releasing a lot of heat energy.  The waste product is ... copper, a useful raw material.  The results seem to be replicable.  It would be really cool for this to pan out.  I'll keep an eye on this.

Yes. I only read the introduction, but the "Convinced they have already adequately proven this to the necessary parties, they are not in a hurry to give demonstrations to curious scientists" bit set off my warning bells.

It sounds too good to be true.
My alarm bells were going off the moment I saw the words "cold" and "fusion" together on the same page.

The bells sheared off the retaining bolts and ricocheted across the room about a dozen times, then embedded themselves in a solid steel wall the moment I saw ALUMINUM FOIL.

I don't CARE how good of a neutron reflector aluminum foil is, you DON'T use it for something like THIS!

I'm sorry. There have been too many frauds.

My hopes for cold fusion have been ripped out of my heart, electrocuted, incinerated to dust, ashes mixed with water to make clay, shaped into a dildo, baked in atomic fire, glazed with broken glass and then used to rape my left ear until my brains ran down the back of my throat and got pooped out six hours later and flushed.

I will be convinced when one of these !@&$^%@-heads tells the WHOLE WORLD to go screw themselves and builds a FIFTY-KILOWATT GENERATION PLANT and hooks it up to the grid for a full year.

When that happens, I'll amuse myself with the dream that it could possibly be something that has some potential.
